Reporter Karina Bland of the Arizona Republic accompanied the DSG on their recent outing to the 5K for JA Benefit in Tempe. She and her son Sawyer mingled with the troopers, observing and absorbing the camaraderie of the Garrison and the excellence of our Legion mission. The resulting article appeared in the paper on Saturday, May 31, 2008. We are happy to report that 10-year-old Sawyer has every intention of joining the Legion at the first possible opportunity.
