Statement of Purpose:

The Beggar’s Canyon Squad is a regional sub-unit of the Dune Sea Garrison and the 501st Legion.  Our purpose is to bring the mission of the Dune Sea Garrison to the Northern Arizona area through community service, charitable outreach, and community engagement, utilizing screen-accurate costumes of the 501st Legion.  The Beggar’s Canyon Squad will operate as a unified sub-unit within the Dune Sea Garrison, receiving guidance and direction from the Garrison and Legion staff, while the Squad Leader (SL) will serve as part of the Garrison Command Staff.

The Beggar’s Canyon regional coverage is Mohave, Coconino, Yavapai, counties, and Gila county north of Jakes Corner.

The Beggar’s Canyon Squad is dedicated to this region will help distribute the workload, strengthen community relationships, and enhance the Dune Sea Garrison’s visibility and effectiveness in Northern Arizona.  Additionally, the Beggar’s Canyon Squad will collaborate with the Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, and other Star Wars costuming groups to promote regional cooperation and camaraderie in event planning and participation.
