Convinced the Rebels were there, Lord Vader and his troops deployed twice to Banner Hospital at Thunderbird to celebrate Nurses Week and bring smiles to young ones. #stormtrooper #BadGuysDoingGood #DuneSeaGarrison #501stLegion #tiepilot #dinjarin ...

For the month of May, the Dune Sea Garrison would like to recognize Cat Bergfels (ID-4693) as its Trooper of the Month. Cat joined the legion in May of 2012. Throughout her tenure she has continually impressed with her willingness and dedication to service. While she loves trooping in her Imperial Officer, she prefers wrangling in order to help others. Just another testament of her love for those around her

When not serving the empire Cat further dedicates her time to assisting those around her. Wether someone needs a ride, a sitter, or just someone to talk to… Cat will be there with open arms and a smile.

FAVORITE TROOPING HIGHLIGHT/STORY: “My favorite highlight is that I brought my kids up in service to Star Wars so to speak. My son Braiden is also a member of the DSG as a Tie Pilot. I just hope to watch my grandchildren (when I finally have them) grow up to be in service to Star Wars as well.”

FUN FACT: “My fun fact is tied to a not so fun event. In August of 2005 Hurricane Katrina had just happened. It was just a few months past ROTS and I searched out the DSG to help us have a donation drive. We were at Bookmans Grant/Campbell (now torn down) It was when I met Jen LaFortune. It was THE day I came to know the best extended family anyone could ever have. The fun fact of this day is that it was also the first time Dustin Dial ever put on armor! We convinced Dustin to put on the Sandtrooper armor that day and that was when we began to slowly be sort of enlisted into the DSG. Though it would be a bit of time before Dustin, Frankie(RIP), Jack, Damien, and Chris etc actually joined up, to me that is when the JWS got its start.”

WHAT IS YOUR WHY BEHIND TROOPING: “All I really know more than anything Is that I love to troop because I love to help people. I enjoy watching everyone around me having fun. Yes, of course, I love to have fun myself but the best way I enjoy myself is knowing those around me are enjoying themselves.”

Cat, thank you on behalf of the entire DSG and JWS. We are truly honored to have you.
